Park III - Deleted Scenes
fans were suprised on opening day when some of the scenes they'd
been anticipating for months had been cut from the final draft
of the film. We've compiled short descriptions of scenes that
were shot (or meant to be) that never made it to the final draft.
Sadly, the DVD does NOT include these scenes, so until then this
page is the only source. If you have some scenes you'd like to
submit, please send them to jphq@
the scene where the group searches for the satelite phone in
a pile of Spino..crap, a Cerataurus emerges from the foliage
and sniffs out the group. The dino later walks away in disgust
and followed by Paul's line "Well, I can't help but feel
a bit offended." The statement was cut from the final draft
for reasons unknown, perhaps they felt it was too corny.
originally showed a scene from the amazing Spino vs. Rex battle
where the Spinosaurus slaps the Tyrannosaurus. The scene didn't
look quite right and was probably cut to make the shot look
Neill even said himself that there would be a scene where a
Velociraptor "interacts" with the Pteranaodons. Rumor
has it they supposedly fought, but again, the scene never made
it to the final cut.
the original script, Grant begins conversing with the parrot
in Ellie's kitchen. Grant tries to get the parrot to say his
name, finishing by saying "He used to know me." In
the script, the scene is a bit longer. Instead of ending so
abruptly, the parrot actually says "Bullshit" to Grant.
Grant and Ellie look at each other and Ellie says "You
taught him to say that."
entire ending has a lot more dialogue. The best line perhaps,
is between Eric and Grant when Grant tells Eric he'd like to
come back. The last two pages of the script can be found on
Movie Tours page.
the scene where Grant leaves Ellie's house after their slightly
ackward reunion, there is a bit more dialogue, this portion
of the script can be found here.
one of the first two TV spots that aired (after the "Survivor"
trailer) there is a scene of a plane flying in the clouds around
sunset (see still). This scene
is not in the movie.
